Nermin Ahmić represented Bosnia and Herzegovina in literature at the XV Biennial of Youth Artists from Europe and the Mediterranean (BJCEM) at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome (MACRO). On the XV Biennial theme ''Symbiosis?'' he responded with two poems ("In A Cluster of Golden Crickets, 2010" and "And?, 2011"), and a drawing ("Steppenwolf, 2011"). For his work, Nermin Ahmić received impressive critics which categorized his work as one of the best seen at the recognized International Festival. He represented this work on the Festival Sarajevo Winter 2012, after which he is named as the most talented and serious young poet of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ahmić explains: "The theme symbiosis pervades, as dense embroidery, different layers of the pieces. Symbiosis is present in a first thematic concentric layer. It also appears in the unification and fusing of poetry and painting through a synaesthetic impression of phonemes and sounds as colors. Moreover, it is present in the architectonic of the poetry through the eclectic combination of different technical and stylistic elements such as Rimbaud's synaesthesis, Lorca's assonance and alliteration, echoes of the French symbolists and surrealists, Dante triplet and classical metrics."

beyond the play of light on your eyelid

as shy Pudica
crazy trees that Lorca saw
of bacchanalias Venus Pudica

with chest hidden from the onyx eye
that in them ominously gleams
as the lavander glow of Lasus' eye

horsemen the apocalypse
four men with obscured faces
announce the light cypresses' song

over trumpets and citruses
the sky with the earth in a howl
gives the odour of cedar ominous birds

ideal to the apocalypse
I know the smell of lily's petals
as ominous blackbird mows the grass blade

in the darkness of your pallid face

And?

Obscene vain wolfs howl at the moon
Flaming crystal tongues of fire are stirring up the ardour
Of hearts will Holy Grail illuminates the obscure darkness
Where we close our eyes to better see the dream
We are pulled pine needles from the root of splashed wave crest
Of vanity and power which gems and cameos of silence back into the sea are wooing

Instauration with frost wraps the fog with icy drapery
Eroded and halved with mirror reflection of Narcissus is lost in the smoke
The dawn on dusky palms of Kronos will not shed dew for half
Of amorphous universe if it's harmony does not deepen

Until then both him and her shiver as fluid orchids
Both hidden behind dissolved suits of silicon
Peek below their small glass bells
She illuminates fantastic engravings staring
He kisses her breasts rushing
He cannot allow above tundra dawn
From dream enclosed with magic to shake her
It seems that they are held captive with chains in the eyes of window panes?
