heathenX Inkscape Tutorials: episode 097 - Retro curves with pattern along path

NOTES: In recent Inkscape versions you can simply use 'Edit ▸ Create Guides Around the Page' to create the initial guides.

You can simply shift-click on a swatch in the palette to set the stroke colour, you don’t need to drag and drop the swatch.

When moving the handles on a circle you will create an arc if the mouse is released inside the circle, and a segment if it’s released outside the circle - that’s why he 'drags up' at the end.

'Effects ▸ Pattern Along Path…' is now 'Extensions ▸ Generate from Path ▸ Pattern Along Path…'
