Starring the legendary actor Prosenjit Chatterjee, Kishore Kumar Junior as the names suggest is a musical drama on one of the many Kishore Kumar cover singers, who are locally known as "Kishore Konthi directed by Kaushik Ganguly. The story is narrated through performances by the protagonist on Kishore Kumar’s famous songs like Yeh Sham Mastani, Ki Ashay Bandhi Khelaghar, Tum Bin Jaon Kahaan, Ek Din Pakhi Ure etc. These melodies are re-sung by Kumar Sanu and music has been recreated by Indraadip Dasgupta.
