Love Habit 9 – Do not keep an account of a wrong suffered

Remembering what people do wrong to us keeps us living in the past and makes it difficult for us to forgive people. It also makes if difficult for us to move forward because we want things resolved and corrected

When you believe people have violated you in any way, your self worth, disrespect, dishonor, lied on you etc. you tend to have difficulty forgiving them.

We must forgive people, that is not an option. But we must also understand that when we forgive people it makes us vulnerable and allows them opportunity to hurt or misuse us again. We must not let that be an issue because keeping a record of wrongs done to you says that you do not mind people keeping a record of what did wrong to them. That is also not an option.

If we are willing to not keep a record of a wrong suffered, we say to that person, “I Love You” and I want people to love me the same way.
