Footage circulating on social media shows an activist using a hammer to destroy a wax sculpture of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the Museo de Cera in Mexico City on Tuesday.
Prior to destroying the wax figure, the activist could be seen draping a Palestinian flag in front of it before splashing the sculpture with red paint, symbolising the blood of the thousands of Palestinians killed in Israel’s war on Gaza.
Local authorities and the wax museum have yet to release a statement about the incident.
