Untold Story of Major Mohit Sharma | Ashok Chakra (Posthumous) | Indian Army Hero 🇮🇳

Major Mohit Sharma, born on 13 Jan 1978 in Rohtak, Haryana, was a decorated Para SF officer of the Indian Army. Fondly called ‘Chintu’ by family and ‘Mike’ by fellow soldiers, he was not just a braveheart but also a gifted musician and performer. After schooling at DPS Ghaziabad, he left engineering to join the NDA in 1995, where he excelled in horse riding, boxing, and swimming.

Commissioned into 5 Madras in 1999, he joined 1 Para (SF) in 2003, earning multiple gallantry awards including Sena Medal. On 21 March 2009, during a fierce operation in Kupwara (J&K), he led the Bravo Team against terrorists. Despite being grievously injured, he saved his team and eliminated 4 terrorists before making the ultimate sacrifice.

Awarded the Ashok Chakra posthumously, Major Mohit Sharma remains an eternal symbol of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism.
