BEST GRAVEL BIKE PATHS UK? | Cycling old disused railway trails - MARRIOTT's Way (NCR 1)

Описание к видео BEST GRAVEL BIKE PATHS UK? | Cycling old disused railway trails - MARRIOTT's Way (NCR 1)

Disused railway lines are now giving us some of the best long distance gravel cycle ways in the county.

The Marriott's Way is a long-distance footpath, cycle-path and bridleway between Norwich and Aylsham, Norfolk, England. It forms part of the National Cycle Network (NCN) (Route 1). Follows the old track bed of two rail net works; the M&GN Joint Railway and the Great Eastern. It joins the two rail network lines through the Themelthorpe Curve built by British Rail in 1960. Its 39.5km or about 24 miles long.

In this video I take the Marriott's Way from Norwich, commencing from the old "City" Terminus of the M&GN JR and terminating at Reepham, although the route continues on the old GE tack bed to Aylsham.

Its November and its a bright crisp day. The sky is clear and blue and the sun is out! What better day to go out and explore. The trees are in full autumn colour. I show some of the sights of Norwich City before setting off. I stop at various points along the way including Reepham & Whitwell station. I'll point out things of interest and above all I hope the video entertains you!

I really hope you like the video and learn something about the Marriott's Way.
