In this video, we explore the 7 fundamental principles of longevity - how to stay healthy over the age of 30. There are some key life pillars to follow to help you live longer and happier lives. I often speak to patients who reach their 30s and begin to think about life and mortality. These key principles can be followed by men and women in their 30s, 40s and 50s to help them have healthier lifestyles.

1) Quit Bad Habits
Whether its stop smoking, drinking or gambling. Bad habits can accumilate and affect our general health. The sooner we quit these the better it is for our health.
2) Social connections
In a fast-paced world of social media and short-form content. We are becoming more and more disconnected as a species. Studies show how this can affect our health, and it is important to maintain our social circle to maintain a healthier and longer life.
3) Move and exercise more
Our lives have become more sedentary and this has affected our health and caused a rise in obesity. To improve your general health adding regular exercise is an important step.
4) Meditation and yoga
The health benefits of regular meditation and yoga is growing. It can help us de-stress and improve our mental and physical well-being.
5) Look after your teeth
Post-pandemic, there has been a rise in dental problems. If we don't look after our dental health, it can cause us more problems later on in life.
6) Good sleep
A healthy lifestyle is never complete without good sleep. While this can vary from person to person, when we have good sleep it can lead to a longer and healthier life for men and women.
7) Cut out processed foods
Our diet of ultra-processed foods has caused lots of issues with our health and the rise in obesity. We should aim to cook our own meals with healthy raw ingredients and reduce the amount of ultra-processed foods.
