Last cover to close off a very enjoyable summer season of anime! EVE brings another banger OP to perhaps one of the more hidden anime this season, SHOSHIMIN. By the same author as Hyouka, it's a series about solving some of the most mundane mysteries in life that somehow ends up being interesting. Its art direction and visuals are extremely stunning, with bright colours, vast landscapes/backgrounds and very creative shots and directorial choices. I certainly think it complements Eve's style of music very well.

Nothing too complicated in this cover, but one important feature of the song to preserve is the delay/echo effect on many lines, such as in the middle of the first verse or in the choruses. I made sure to include these whenever possible, either playing the extra voice in the right hand, or with the thumb in the left hand. I also tried to vary the accompaniment and the register of the melody to avoid the simple structure from getting too repetitive. But certainly the half step up key change helps to add some intensity to the ending as well :)

Now onward to fall! I already have some pretty sweet ideas in progress, so stay tuned...
