Описание к видео Hindu Kush: The TRAGIC fall of two climbers on Tirich Mir

Hindu Kush is one of the greatest mountain ranges in the world. It lies between Afghanistan and northwest Pakistan. It has more than two dozen peaks higher than 7,000 meters and numerous 6,000’ers. Most of the 7000-meter mountains lie in northwest Pakistan and the Afghan province of Badakhshan.

At 7,708 meters, Tirich Mir is the highest peak in the Hindu Kush and the highest mountain outside of the Himalaya and Karakoram. The other three highest mountains of Hindu Kush are Noshaq 7,492 meters, Istor-o-Nal 7,403 meters, and Saraghrar 7,340 meters. Tirich Mir is a massif of eleven peaks, many of them higher than 7,000 meters.

In this video, we'll throw light on the early ascents of Tirich Mir. Later in the video, the story of a South Korean expedition in 1995 will also be discussed when two of its members summited Tirich Mir late in the evening, but then fell to their deaths on the descent in dark between summit and Camp 4.
