"The Chojeong-ri Letter", a Korean historical fiction, revived the significance of the creation of the Hangeul in the lives of ordinary people during the Joseon Dynasty, by unfolding the pain and growth of a boy, named 'Gang-woo', trying to become a mason and the anguish and will of King Sejong who created Hangeul; to convey a great impression.
It dramatically shows how Hangeul, digging into the lives of lower-ranking people of the Joseon Dynasty, including middle-class, 'Jung-in', and women of noble family, changes their lives and leads them into a world. This book add more fun by displaying the 15th-century Korean characters written in the letter in the story, to bring the reader a sense of the significance and excellence of Hangeul.
