The Insect Collection at the Natural History Museum represents a wide variety of insects from the Maltese Islands as well as from other countries. The collection has microscopic mosquitoes and beetles to large colourful butterflies. Maltese butterflies and moths represent the bulk of the collection as do local and foreign species of beetles. This is one of the first collections in the Museum to be digitised and will soon be accessible over the internet.
