Exploring the Oldest Retro Gaming Store in China

Hello everyone, today we visited Kamulewu (or Game Room), located in Mentougou, Beijing, which is one of the earliest game stores in China. The four members of Kamulewu have been faithfully preserving the nostalgic essence of that era for 40 years.

Our visit to Kamulewu marks the beginning of a new series: Retro Gaming in China. We are embarking on a quest to uncover the traces of old games in China, and we will also be meeting passionate retro gaming enthusiasts to hear their stories from the bygone era.

This episode primarily focuses on our exploration of the treasure trove within Kamulewu. In the next episode, we will conduct interviews with China's first-generation gamers, affectionately known as "lao pao er" players, who will share their tales from the past.
