This video explains the mechanism of CRISPR-Cas9 in genome editing. Specifically, this video explains how cas9 finds the target DNA match through PAM sequence verification and how the guide RNA pairs with the target DNA. Towards the end, we discuss how multiple repair natural occurring double-stranded DNA break repair pathways like NHEJ (non-homologous end joining) and homology directed repair can be used in CRISPR-Cas9 genome editing, especially when making large deletions or making targeted insertions.
