UPDATE (June 2020): In the ensuing years from when this training video was produced, Koyo has developed their new "DW" Series of Angular Contact Ball Bearings. These bearings are designed for maximized oil flow in vertical motors employing stacked bearings such as those used in deep well pumps. These new DW Koyo bearings have a conical cage design that creates a pumping effect for improved oil flow resulting in lower bearing temperatures and better bearing life. Reed now uses these DW Series Koyo bearings in multiple stacked thrust bearings in vertical motors.
