37 Year old classic! NASA's ONLY Lockheed HC-130H Hercules action in Burlington (BTV/KBTV)

Описание к видео 37 Year old classic! NASA's ONLY Lockheed HC-130H Hercules action in Burlington (BTV/KBTV)

This is my 3rd time catching a NASA aircraft (F18, DC8 and now C130) but first for their C130 - what a cool livery. Considering that I only see military C130's, seeing a white one with a civilian registration is weird for me!

NASA operates a very unique fleet of aircraft including this sole C-130 they use for cargo transport. NASA spent the month in northern Greenland in support of their ARCSIX research.
The goal of this research is to quantify the contributions of surface properties, clouds, aerosol particles, and precipitation to the Arctic summer surface and ice melt. The C-130 was accompanying a NASA P-3 that was also stationed there (flew to BGR) Both aircraft were part of the research and have since went back to their home base of Wallops Island.
