The Roman Fort Under Portchester Castle

While on the Isle of Wight, David and Mariza travel to the fascinating remains of Brading Roman Villa to investigate a country home built at a time when the island was called Vectis. Then it is back over the channel to Portchester, where they visit the magnificent castle, which was originally a Roman fort. David talks about the renegade general Caurasius, who had the fortress built. Lastly, at nearby Fishbourne, they explore the ruins of a palace, which was once the home of a Celtic ruler.
