Tissue Repair Animation - Hyaluronic Acid and HYAFF® Technology

Anika Therapeutics manufacture products that help protect, heal and regenerate the damaged tissue found in wounds, burns and severe ulcers. The products are based on hyaluronic acid (HA) which is naturally present in the skin and plays a major role in tissue, cartilage and connective tissue repair, as well as functioning as a lubricant and component of the extracellular matrix.

Random42 created an animation that shows how Anika Therapeutics’ have adapted HA to create HYAFF – a HA-based material that can be made into 3D scaffolds to support the entrapment, proliferation and differentiation of cells into functional skin, cartilage and bone tissue.
