I know that holidays can be a big source of waste. I am not a zero waste expert at all. However, I figure that every little bit helps.

We made these with scraps of felt that I found at my parents' house. Originally, I was just going to leave them blank, but my kids wanted to decorate them. I did use a hot glue gun. Sewing the decorations on would probably be better. I have also seen some other options to use during Easter egg hunts and I'm going to list them below.

I know that candy is a popular item to put in Easter eggs. Ideally, unwrapped candies would be the best, but I realise that some people do community Easter egg hunts and need wrapped options so I have included some with foil and cardboard boxes. I know that these options are not perfect and if you know of any others, please let me know. Unfortunately, these are not necessarily fair trade, organic, healthy, or palm oil free.

Many candies have some type of plastic. When I get plastic, I try to reuse it. Thick re-sealable plastic bags are especially good for traveling if you have any liquids. Any plastic containers can be used to organize items.
