আমরা উপন্যাসটিকে বেশ কয়েকটি খন্ডে ভাগ করেছি এবং আপনাদের কাছে তুলে ধরবার চেষ্টা করছি।






The ruthless truth that the country is divided, the happy memories of India are still intertwined. On 14th and 15th August 1947, Pakistan and India gained independence. And on the same day, countless people of Bengal and Punjab lost their land. Sharing this country on the basis of religion is one of the extreme chapters of murder, rape and robbery. Not only that, the well-to-do people become completely destitute and take shelter in other people's houses, on the sidewalks, along the railway lines. They became refugees. An extreme life conflict begins. This is where the setting of Sunil Gangopadhyay's Purba Paschim novel begins. Each chapter describes the political, social and economic ups and downs of West and East Bengal that have been continuous since 1947. The language movement of Bangladesh in 1971 i.e. the war of liberation and the rise of communism in West Bengal, the Naxal movement is described in this novel.
