Panel I: DEI in the Courts [2024 North Carolina Chapters Conference]

Описание к видео Panel I: DEI in the Courts [2024 North Carolina Chapters Conference]

This panel will consider legal developments with regard to diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in North Carolina. In the aftermath of the Supreme Court decision in Students for Fair Admissions, Inc. v. President and Fellows of Harvard College, public institutions are reevaluating their use of race in all aspects–employment, internships, contracting, and budgeting. Recent decisions like Duvall v. Novant Health (4th Circuit) indicate that private institutions in North Carolina may wish to do so as well. The panelists discussed best practices that seem to be developing in North Carolina and where the next wave of lawsuits in the DEI space may land.
