Pushing for Systems Change: How Social Movements Can Shift Society

A clear and accessible understanding of the conditions that make social movements work is essential for creating systems change. Social movements have been the vehicles for drastic changes in our society. Movements are complex organisms that engage masses of people, varieties of organizations and span over decades. With such a complexity and scale, most social change leaders are challenged in understanding of how movements actually work. 

In this session Carlos Saavedra, director at the Ayni Institute, will introduce two key concepts for philanthropists at all levels to explore as we engage strategically with the ebbs and flows of social change.
