In Part 12 of our Assassin’s Creed Shadows playthrough, Yasuke finds himself at the center of a turning tide. With the Shinbakufu tightening its grip on Omi, his pursuit of key targets escalates into a chain of events that shakes the region’s balance of power.

He first heads to Otsu in search of Aoi, hoping to uncover the enemy’s plans — but the trail leads to a deadly trap on the Seta Bridge. He then begins tracking down Shotei, the elusive father of Katsuhime. The search takes him across the Shimmering Fields and into a brutal battle at Enryakuji Temple, where he joins forces with Katsuhime herself.

The mission culminates in Sakamoto, where Naoe infiltrates enemy territory and assassinates Akechi Kagemitsu — the feared Naginata of the Shinbakufu. His fall delivers a heavy blow to the enemy’s leadership.

In the aftermath, Shotei reappears and offers vital intelligence about his former students. Katsuhime adds her insight, and Yasuke receives a symbolic weapon — the Rokkaku longbow — as a token of what’s to come.
