Thinking about buying the 2025 EVRYjourney Deluxe Electric Bike from Sixthreezero? Or maybe yours just arrived and you're wondering how to get it road-ready? In this detailed video, Dustin—backed by 20 years of bike and e-bike experience—walks you through the entire assembly process, highlights key features, and shows you exactly how to set it up for a perfect ride.
The EVRYjourney Deluxe 2025 arrives in a tall, reinforced box measuring approximately 61.8” x 8.3” x 35”, and weighing around 80 lbs. Dustin kicks things off with a pro tip: be cautious of the staples when opening the box—removing them first helps avoid scratches. Once the top is open, he shows you what’s included: the manual, accessory box (with pedals, lock nut, hardware, and tools), and the securely packaged components of the bike itself.
You’ll want sharp snips or scissors to remove the zip ties—there are a lot of them. Using a box cutter is possible, but only if you're careful not to cut into the frame or tires. As Dustin shows, the safest way to remove the bike from the box is to make a small vertical cut along the front seam and roll it out from the rear wheel.
Once unpacked, you'll locate the seat, handlebars, front wheel, and other essentials. Dustin demonstrates how to free the handlebars, mount them properly with cables routed toward the front, and insert the cap onto the stem before tightening it into place. The handlebar height and angle can be adjusted using the provided tools. He stresses the importance of aligning the stem straight with the top tube for safety and performance.
Next up: installing the front wheel. You’ll remove temporary shipping hardware from the fork using a 12mm wrench and insert the wheel, ensuring the brake rotor fits cleanly into the caliper. Dustin then shows how to attach washers and nuts before tightening them securely with a 15mm wrench. Once the front wheel is in place, the kickstand can be used for stability throughout the rest of the build.
Attaching the front fender and headlight is the next step. Dustin shares a helpful trick to thread the fender struts around the wheel and attach them behind the headlight bracket using a combination of Allen keys and a 10mm wrench. Fender position is crucial—it should sit high enough to avoid rubbing against the tire. Additional strut support is added with a 3mm Allen key.
With the front end complete, it’s time to install the pedals. Dustin explains how to distinguish the right and left pedal (R and L labels), and the key detail: both pedals are tightened by turning them forward, even though one is reverse-threaded. A 15mm wrench is used for the final tightening.
Mounting the seat and seat post comes next. Dustin attaches the seat to the post first, adjusts the angle (slightly tilted back is often ideal), and tightens both 14mm bolts equally to avoid slippage. He also walks through the quick-release seat clamp and how to dial in a snug, safe fit by pre-tightening the tension knob before clamping down.
Once the bike is fully assembled, Dustin moves on to electrical setup and operation. The key that comes with the bike is for removing or locking the battery, not powering it on. To activate the battery, locate the on/off switch under the battery near the back of the frame. Once on, hold the power button on the display to boot up the system. You’ll see your battery level, current speed, odometer, and pedal assist level on the display.
To turn on the front headlight, simply hold the plus button on the display. Press again to turn it off. Pedal assist can be increased or decreased using the plus and minus buttons. The thumb throttle on the handlebar lets you ride without pedaling when you’re in at least assist level 1.
The 2025 EVRYjourney Deluxe also features a suspension fork with lockout, which Dustin demonstrates. Locking the fork gives better rolling efficiency on smooth pavement, while unlocking it provides shock absorption for bumpy terrain or curbs.
Dustin also explains tire pressure: the range is 40–65 PSI. Higher pressure improves roll efficiency and range, while lower pressure gives a softer, more cushioned ride. Just be careful not to overinflate.
Both the disc brakes and 7-speed derailleur come factory tuned, but if adjustments are needed, Sixthreezero provides support videos for fine-tuning. If you're not comfortable with those, Dustin recommends visiting a professional bike shop.
