Automotive manufacturers used wooden-spoke wheels for many years, but when production moved to all-steel wheels in the 1920’s and 1930’s, some auto manufacturers created a stamped steel wheel that simulated a spoke design. This design was commonly used in the mid-to-late 1930’s and was known as the Artillery wheel.

More than 70 years after the original design, Wheel Vintiques created its own style of Artillery wheel, developed to fit street rods, customs and classic trucks.

Manufactured at the Wheel Vintiques facility in City of Industry, California, Artillery wheels are thoroughly tested for trueness and correct fitment. Wheel Vintiques features an in-house powder-coating facility, where a specially formulated primer, as well as custom colors are applied to the wheels. Partial and full brilliant show chrome plating is also available.

Sizing for the Wheel Vintiques Artillery wheel ranges from fifteen by four inches all the way up to seventeen by nine inches. The all-steel wheel is fully welded and offers a strong design with a stylish stamped-spoke center.

Artillery wheel fitments are plentiful, thanks to five available bolt patterns, ranging from the four popular five-lug patterns as well as a six by five-and-a-half-inch pattern for trucks.

Accessories include many hubcap and trim ring designs, as the Artillery wheel shares the same size caps as the very popular line of Smoothie wheels offered by Wheel Vintiques.
