Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said European representatives attending the Geneva talks on Ukraine were not involved in the trilateral discussions between Russia, Ukraine and the United States, describing them as merely sitting in the lobby drinking coffee, in an interview broadcast on Rossiya 1 television on Sunday. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov echoed the sentiment, stating Europeans could not contribute meaningfully given their stance, while warning that any NATO nuclear deployment in Estonia would prompt Russia to target the Baltic state in response. Peskov also dismissed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy’s recent comments as vulgar, and Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov accused Ukrainian special services, backed by Western entities including Britain, of orchestrating attacks on Russia, vowing ongoing investigations and measures to ensure security amid the ongoing conflict.
