HOW TO DESRESTRICT A HONDA NSC50 VISION SCOOTER MOPED

The top speed of the Honda NSC50 Vision is in most countries restricted to 45 km/h. The restriction is done by a rather low gear ratio plus a rev limiter. The engine is however strong enough to pull a higher gear ratio. In this video a Polini variator kit that changes the gear ratio is installed.

Please note that doing this change to the scooter might not be allowed for public road use in your area, check local legislation before doing a modification like this.

An increase in gear ratio will however make the moped consume less fuel, if speed is kept at 45 km/h by the riders control.

Polini also sells a high speed variator for the NSC110. Doing such a conversion is very similar to what is shown in this video.
