Thermoplastic Arrow Pavement Marking Removal without surface marks with SMITH X3 Rotary Eraser

Here is a video showing the removal of 250 mil thick thermoplastic pavement markings with a SMITH X3 Rotary Eraser powered by a Bobcat skidloader.

Notice how the side to side oscillating action of the SMITH rotary cutters removes the wide arrow legend marking without any sharp edge grooving.

There was no vacuum system attached to the equipment which would contain all airborne dust and collect all the removed debris. In a separate operation, the remaining materials were collected with a sweeper broom. The surface was later repaved.
