I was wrong regarding the Bar-Lube Adjustment Screw..., it does exist, but it is located into the Metalic structure about 1/2 an inch away from the Pictogram moulded into the Plastic Cover-Plate which features the apparently "Blind Hole" which the Pictogram had bluffed me into thinking was a Null Feature.

My son cut through 2 full tanks of Fuel, finding that when it ran out of Fuel and stopped there was still a small amount of Bar-Lube in the Tank..., and after it runs Tank-Dry then it's a bit reluctant to start after filling, while still hot - which is understandable, as normally the Carburettor cools itself by evaporating some fuel out of it's Float-Bowl, whereas a hot empty Carby may suffer Vapour-Locks until it refills & cools down.

Another feature he discovered is that if the little short Teeth of the "Log Dog" are engaged in a Stringybark Trunk while cutting Firewood..., then the Exhaust Gasses venting straight out forwards - parallel with the Cutterbar...; will impact onto the Bark from such a close range that the hot Exhaust actuslly set the Bark to smouldering.

So, seriously..., BEWARE of Setting the Workpiece on fire...!!!

Both of us found the MTM Saws to be noticably underpowered, and a bit "Doughy" as compared to our (well run-in) Stihls...; but today was our first time playing with them, and my expectation is that if nothing breaks or fails within the next 10 hours of Engine-Runtime, then the Saws will have been "Run-In" and they should be able to be fine-tuned to run maybe 20% faster and thus producing correspondingly more Torque.

My bet is that these Saws are at least as carefully made as the Operator's Manual and the Product Liability Disclaimers have been carefully written...; so at this stage, I'm very happy with it.

The "E-Start" feature is weird..., no matter how fast or slowly one pulls on the Starter-Cord it comes out smoothly, under steady Tension, and then without warning the Starter Spring suddenly spins the Saw over 3 Compressions - and the Saw starts, as if by magic...; there is no sense of manually heaving the Engine over the first Compression.

All told..., it's a whole lot of Chainsaw for a ridiculousy small amount of money ; and after the first 2 Tanks of Fuel has gone through them as Firewood-Cutters then they've pretty much paid for themselves.

And according to a comment left under yesterday's Video, +reburne tells that the $150 paid by my son..., & the $129 paid my myself...; has already now shrunk to $119...

So...; get them while they're still available (?) !

Such is Life...

Have a good one.

;-p

Ciao !
