Slovenia’s Benjamin Savsek won canoe slalom gold at Tokyo 2020. It was third time lucky for Savsek as he came from sixth in the semi-finals to claim the Olympic title in the final. Savsek put on the afterburners in the sixth race of the men’s canoe slalom final to win gold with 98.25. The Czech Republic’s Lukas Rohan took silver (101.96) and Sideris Tasiadis of Germany (103.70) bronze.
