In this unplanned retrospective, I revisit the multiplayer of every Unreal game on PC and explain how to enjoy them after the official server's shutdown. Epic can try to wipe their legacy from existences, but Unreal Tournament would live on. #SaveUnreal

Download and install the latest community patch (469c) from Github - https://github.com/OldUnreal/UnrealTo...

Unreal II: The Awakening
Download and install Unreal 2 XMP Community Edition - https://www.moddb.com/games/unreal-ii... The original game is not required to run this pack.
XMP port to UT2004 - https://www.moddb.com/mods/utxmp/down... It's not standalone, UT2004 should be installed in order to play it.

Unreal Tournament 2003/2004
Launch the game, open the console by pressing ~ key, paste this line:
set IpDrv.MasterServerLink MasterServerList ((Address="utmaster.openspy.net",Port=28902))
Then press enter and RELAUNCH THE GAME. If it won't work, go to the "System" folder inside of the directory where you have the game installed, and find the file called UT2004.ini. In a section called [IpDrv.MasterServerLink], remove all lines that start with MasterServerList words, and paste MasterServerList=(Address="utmaster.openspy.net",Port=28902) line. Don't forget to save the edited file, and you're all set!

Unreal Tournament 3
It's unknown what will happen with the game after the migration to Epic Online Services. I'll keep this section updated if there will be new alternative ways to play it again.

Unreal Tournament 4/Pre-Alpha
