The outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic forced universities all over the world to close their premises, but teaching had to continue. Students' remote learning could partially continue with the use of technology, but the difficulties involved in an unplanned transition to digitization quickly emerged.

As the first digitally native university, with more than 25 years of experience, the UOC has produced a Digital Transformation of Education Plan, which seeks to contribute to the digital transformation of other educational institutions, ensuring the quality of teaching, while addressing internal changes to foster e-learning research and improve access to university.

In the video, Albert Sangrà, director of the UNESCO Chair in Education and Technology for Social Change, highlights some of the trends in digital transformation that we will see in the coming years.
