With the focus of most residential scheduled treatment programs on exterior only service, having a proven and effective perimeter pest protection protocol is critical to achieve customer satisfaction and gain the acceptance of service technicians.

#1: Spray the foundation with LambdaStar UltraCap concentrate, up to 3 ft high

#2: Apply InTice 10 Perimeter Bait

#3: Apply an add-on treatment using LambdaStar UltraCap for spiders, occasional invaders and/or overwintering pests

That is it! Your exterior treatment recipe for success!

Why is InTice 10 Perimeter Bait the cornerstone of Rockwell’s conventional perimeter treatment program protocol? There are many reasons:

Unlike most pesticide chemicals, the boric acid active doesn’t break down from heat in an attic so it lasts for a year or more. Since it is also mold and moisture resistant it is perfect for crawlspaces and unfinished basements. And since it is a bait, crawling insects will seek it out. Step 1: Spray the foundation up to 3 ft above grade using LambdaStar UltraCap

LambdaStar UltraCap is a highly effective 3rd generation pyrethroid with the proven potency of 9.7% lambda-cyhalothrin. It is an innovative micro-encapsulated formulation that provides both fast knockdown and exceptional residual protection across a wide variety of crawling and flying insects. It is also a great value compared to many competitive products.

The mid-rate for mixing is 0.4 oz per gallon. For more challenging conditions or longer service intervals, use 0.8 oz per gallon. If your service interval is monthly, go as low as 0.2 oz per gallon. The application rate is 1 gallon per 1000 sq feet.

Step 2: Apply InTice 10 Perimeter Granules just outside of the LambdaStar UltraCap treatment area.

Apply in a 2 to 3 ft band around the perimeter, just outside of where you sprayed in Step 1.

Apply at a rate of 4-6 oz per 100 linear feet. The application does not need to be perfect since it is not a repellent barrier. Pests will find it as they are searching for food. Make sure to apply to mulch beds, and try to get up under shrubs. Also apply to any mulch beds, landscaped areas and other pest- conducive places away from the perimeter such as around lights and woodpiles.

Once a year, apply bait to the attic (right on top of the insulation) and crawlspace (if present) at a rate of 3 oz per 100 sq ft. InTice 10 can also be applied around the edges of unfinished basements

Step 3: Apply LambdaStar UltraCap around windows, doors, eaves and other possible pest entry points.

Mix LamdaStar UltraCap as noted in Step 1. Spray the underside of eaves for spiders and stinging insect control and prevention. For overwintering pests and occasional invaders, apply a 1 inch pinstream to the cracks around window and doors frames, and other possible pest entry points. Also spray short bursts into weep holes and under the edges of siding.
