Bees on Globe Thistle and Hostas in Bloom!

Summer is flying by and we have really been enjoying the garden. There is now a new tool shed with a wonderful barn door and we are continuing to work on the greenhouse from old windows. The garden is approaching its summer fullness and now I can see areas where I really need more colour. I miss the giant sunflowers I grew a few years ago! I also want to have zinnias again next year, I might put some seeds in the ground and see if they come up for fall. Lots to do and plan, I want to add winter interest in the form of some evergreen plants possibly winter box or barberry. There is so much bee activity especially on the big globe thistle! I like watching the bees on the flowers.
