knit one below (k1b) is a simple techniques used to knit fisherman's rib stitch but also a lot of lace patterns. It's quite easy to do and the same principles can be used to knit two, three, or even four below. It's quite easy to undo as well, simply knit backwards and pass the front loop over the loop in the back.
It can also be done purlwise and this video will also show you how to purl one below (p1b) as well as using knit one below to increase
