One thousand transcendental names of Sri Gopāla is found in Śrī Saṃmohana Tantra in the conversation between Lord Śivā and Goddess Pārvati. Lord Kṛṣṇā who is known as Gopāla, the protector of the cows is glorified in these thousand sweet and sublime names.
