Hezbollah said it fired a ‘Qader 1 ballistic missile’ targeting the headquarters of Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency near Herzliya. The Israeli military said it was the first time a projectile fired from Lebanon had reached central Israel. Military analyst Riad Kahwaji told AFP it was the first time Hezbollah had fired ballistic missiles at Israel, adding that they were "Iranian-produced". "They're all variants of the Scuds [missile]," Kahwaji said, adding that the missiles have a range of "not more than 300 kilometres”. The Iranian-made Qader is a medium-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile with multiple types and payloads. It can carry an explosive payload of up to 800kg, according to the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
