In this instance we are talking about changing the oil and oil filter on a 2018 Harley-Davidson Sportster Iron 1200 model. This procedure can be done by a novice with the minimal amount of tools. The job only requires four tools: a socket wrench, an extension for said socket wrench, an oil filter wrench, and a flat-head screwdriver. (Of course, you need an oil catch. If that isn’t common knowledge to you, then maybe a dealer is the right call for you, no judgment!)
