Locations along The West Highland Line during May 1996
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 I return to the beautiful scenic West Highland Line in Scotland. Over a week in May 1996 I focused on capturing the Sleeper train to and from Fort William and London Euston. Now a greatly reduced in length, down to 3 and 4 coaches both way and even today the train is around the same composition. The train is seen in various locations early in the morning and late evening between Crianlarich and Fort William and is hauled by a "Transrail" class 37/4 Locomotive, a very light load for the Loco indeed even with the gradients along the line. This feature also includes a visit to Oban and Mallaig Station and a little in between so sit back and relax taking in the breath taking scenery and sounds of nature. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories. Feel free to comment, good or bad, all comments are read and greatly appreciated, but it is not always possible to answer each individually. Sit back and enjoy this latest production remembering all those now long gone Locomotive classes and other types of traction. Many thanks for all subscriptions and all of those viewers who have kindly shown an interest in my material.
