Описание к видео Lessons from an Egocentric Altruist | William Clark | TEDxAUBG

We are easily trapped by inward, self-centered thinking which leads to a distorted view of reality. This mindset restricts and impoverishes us and ultimately leaves us unhappy and unfulfilled. Clark examines the power that questions we ask ourselves and each other have to break us free from the trap and give us a clearer view of the world, enrich our relationships, and set us on a path for happiness and success. Professor William Clark received a doctorate degree from Pennsylvania State University in Forest Sciences he decided to move to Blagoevgrad and teach there, at the American University in Bulgaria. William's passion for nature is carried out through both his research into conservation and natural resource management, and through his activities, such as his 522 kilometer bicycle journey across Bulgaria in just 4 days in 2016. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
