EASY Guide: How to Complete the After Alterna mission (Story mode) | Splatoon 3 Walkthrough

Описание к видео EASY Guide: How to Complete the After Alterna mission (Story mode) | Splatoon 3 Walkthrough

In this video, I'm going to show my gameplay for the After Alterna secret mission in the Story Mode for Splatoon 3. This mission is a test of patience, but I'm here to do my best to help you overcome each of the 4 different sections in this mission with tips for the most complicated sections of each trial. Be aware that this will take you probably a couple of hours worth of trying depending on your skill level, so be sure there are no splat fests, game updates to install, or anything important that can make you want to quit. So, without further ado, let's move on with the first section: The 1st jumping puzzle.

The first jumping section is actually pretty manageable, I'll let you do this on your own.
For the two octo-snipers at the end of the rolling concrete, take cover behind the shields and use your small fry to distract them so you can take them down easily.

Now let's move on with the Squid Surge section. For this, I have my key binding for the jump button mapped to the L button, which helps me move the camera around while I'm jumping. Remember that the Squid Surge is done by pressing and holding the jump button for a second while you're climbing. The game has a visual cue where the eyes of your inkling glow to indicate to you that the Squid Surge is ready but, you can actually do this slightly before to get the same jumping effect. Time your jumps correctly and climb to the top and then continue until you pass the octo sniper for the next tricky spot.

Now, for the Squid Rolls. For this to actually work you need to do a Squid Surge, but instead of just releasing your jump button, move the stick towards the direction where you want to do the roll, release the jump button but keep the stick in the same position to make sure the jump continue in that direction or you'll just fall off. This may take a couple of tries to get used to it. But be sure to practice it before you reach the next section.

Now for the floating pillars, the easiest way to hang in there for me was to slightly tip the stick upwards instead of doing a squid surge and holding it, this way I would make fewer mistakes. In this last floating pillar here you'll need to perform a squid roll backward. Don't move the camera, prepare the squid surge so your character sits at the very top of the inkable section, point the stick all the way towards you and then release the jump button to do the squid roll while you keep holding the stick in that position. Don't panic, just be very aware of the sound of the onion rings that you collect on the way down, this is your cue to release the stick so you land safely. Ok, I'll see you further down the road for the last tricky jumping puzzle, the next ones are pretty straightforward.

Finally, we arrive at the dreadful moving platforms. First, we need to get there, and to do this in a safe way I try to ink each platform before I jump to it so I can do a long jump with my squid or swim against the rotation if I'm beginning to fall. Now the trickiest part is the floating brick platforms. The easiest way to tackle this is to take it to step by step, first, ink the upper part of each platform, then, the front. Once it is done, drop into any of these and begin your jumping, but don't rush, because you'll likely fall. Jump, stop, take a breath, jump again and keep repeating this. When you reach the gray wall, don't go for the jump, instead, ink first, and then do your jumps again until you can do a safe jump into the ink and then climb safely so you can reach the launchpad into the NEXT section.
