Goodwill Cameras 8/21/24

My local Goodwill is sometimes a camera museum. On display are some 126 cameras.

a very brief history of 126 format cameras I found:

The 126 format camera was introduced by Kodak in 1963 as part of their Instamatic camera line. It featured a simple loading system using plastic cartridges, making it popular for casual photography[2][4]. The format was known for producing square images, 26.5 mm on each side[3][4]. Despite its initial success, the rise of 35mm cameras in the 1980s led to a decline in its popularity[1]. Kodak ceased production of Instamatic cameras in 1988 and stopped making 126 film in 1999, with other manufacturers following by the late 2000s[4].
