Methi/Tamarind Curry is a most mouth-watering recipe. It's a very easy dish that can be prepared in just 15 minutes. This is a Karnataka style / Iyengar style tamarind gojju / mentiya gojju prepared using jaggery, tamarind, salt, homemade special powder (made using toordal and fenugreek seeds) and Iyengar sambar powder.

This gives you tangy flavour from tamarind, sweet flavour from jaggery and the spicy touch through the Iyengar sambar powder. It is a thick gravy consistency dish which is used as a side dish for Dosa and Pongal. This tamarind gojju / mentiya gojju tastes good with rice too.

I would say this is a beginner-friendly or bachelor friendly recipe.
