PHOTOS AND VIDEO WITH NO SOUND

This is a very old Smith Major and Stevens lift at Romanes and Patterson in Edinburgh.

It was modernised by Express, although I am not sure when. Unfortunately the inside gate has been replaced, but not with Express’s modernisation. It has been done somewhat recently. The lift runs at single speed and all buttons have been replaced with First Generation Express buttons.

Apologies that I was unable to get this into a good video. I wanted to record it properly, but you had to ask a member of staff to use the lift. I recorded a bit (at the end of the video) but I removed the sound as I was talking to the guy who allowed me to ride it. I also didn’t want to record him, which made recording difficult.

I’m glad that I was able to get some good pictures of this lift though.
