This new kit includes some great spec improvements over the last kit and upgrades all the lights on the tools and included in the kit to LED. The New LED Flashlight is a HUGE upgrade over the old version. There is also a new 2 Amp Fast Charger included that does not look like any chargers we have been used to, but it does work quite well.

Performance-wise, these new kits work very well for a DIY first tool kit. There is room to get more power through the purchase of larger batteries and also room to grow with the 2 batteries that are included. All the tools RYOBI has ever made use the same batteries so there is no worry of a tool and battery that do not work together.

Price-wise, this new Kit has an MSRP at $299 but we already see it priced at $229 and you might be able to pick it up for less during holiday sales.
