According to Mahabharata, Vijaya was the divine bow of great warrior Karna. The Sanskrit name Vijaya means Victory and this bow is said to give sure Victory to the possessor. Vijaya made Karna invincible who already had terrific skill as an archer. He only used it on the 17th day of the Kurukshetra war.
Creator -
Lord Vishwakarma designed the bow on the orders of Lord Shiva.
Previous Owners -
Lord Shiva used it for destroying Tripurantaka's fort headed by Tarakasur using Pashupatastra. It was passed to Indra, then to Parashurama. Lord Parashurama gifted the bow to Karna.
