NS used trackage rights over CSX and Conrail to get to their own tracks at New River Jct. and onto Muncie, IN. The tracks through Reading were under NS control even though Conrail owned the tracks and had a Local that served the on line industries. Most of the trains seen were crossing Reading road (SR 42), other location was Columbia road.
