Is It REALLY Possible To Go Camping In An Electric Car? We Camp In Our Kia Soul EV

Together with my son Austin, we take a road trip to the city of Squamish, British Columbia, Canada to find out if it is really possible to go camping in an electric car. Most of the videos online are about camping in an EV car like a Tesla, but not much is out there about camping in something like our Kia Soul EV. After charging the car in Squamish, we drove down to the Porteau Cove Campground where we would spend the night.

The Kia Soul EV has a dedicated camp mode called Utility Mode which is available in Kia EVs. With Utility Mode turned on, the car powers all the electrical sockets as well as the HVAC (heat or air con) system. Utility Mode turns the Kia Soul EV into a tiny camper.
