Refactoring using AI | Improve Code Quality with CodeScene Ace | AI Coding Assistant

CodeScene ACE is a new product which uses AI to automatically refactor code.

In this demo we point out technical debt – a refactoring target – that we want to improve. Using CodeScene ACE’s extension for VS code we automatically refactor the relevant code smells.

After the code smells are gone, we head over to CodeScene’s dashboards to verify the improvements for our planned refactoring. We immediately see that the code health has improved.

The difference between CodeScene’s automated refactoring and other AI coding tools is that CodeScene actually fact-checks the AI. That way, you can clean up and simplify code without involuntarily breaking its behavior.
