In this video, I talked about what every off-road car should have. Can a regular SUV overcome all off-road obstacles and get you to your destination, or should you add something else to it to be sure of your car? In this video, I highlighted the main and very important characteristics that an SUV should have, as well as some additional ones that will help it. To do this, I divided all types of terrain that we meet on off-road. The first is mud - for it, the contact area of ​​the wheel and the ground surface, as well as support from all sides and the absence of skidding, are important. That is, three factors logically follow - large ribbed wheels, four-wheel drive and limited friction differentials. The second thing we encounter on off-road is sand. The same as mud, only one more characteristic is added, not very important, but it is the driving modes, which will change the settings of the electronics, which will control the slippage of the wheels. The third and most difficult stage is stones. Here you can already clearly understand what the SUV lacks and that is clearance. Stones can protrude strongly from the ground and it is not so easy to drive over it, therefore, if the stones do not pass under the bottom of the car, then you will simply get stuck. To increase the clearance, you can put bigger wheels, or modify the suspension of the car. Another problem with stones is that they can really damage the bottom of your car, so you need protection for the most important parts of the car. Therefore, on many off-road vehicles, metal plates are placed under the engine to protect it. Another thing to pay attention to is the bumpers of your car. On the off-road, you can often encounter sharp ups and downs and it is important to make sure that the bumper does not cling to them. Therefore, it is important to install small metal bumpers that will perform their function, but at the same time will not reduce the car's passability. Even on the off-road, you have to overcome water obstacles, so it is desirable to know the level of the ford that the car can overcome - this is also an important characteristic. Don't forget the spare tire yet. No matter how powerful your car is, it can still puncture a tire and it is important to have a spare tire to continue driving. That is, in general, the car should have: All-wheel drive, high clearance, differentials with locking, large, ribbed wheels, metal, small bumpers, a full-size spare. Good luck on your journey :)
